Keyboard shortcuts

InTab has three kinds of shortcuts: global hotkeys managed by your browser, new-tab shortcuts you can remap, and a couple of fixed grammar shortcuts.

Global hotkeys (browser-managed)

Chrome only allows an extension a handful of global shortcuts, so InTab keeps them to the essentials. These work on any page.

The screenshot combos use Alt + Shift on every operating system so they don’t clash with macOS’s own Cmd + Shift + 3/4/5 capture keys.

To change these, open Settings → About → Edit in Chrome, or go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts directly.

New-tab shortcuts (remappable)

These fire on the InTab new tab page and can be rebound in Settings → Shortcuts.

Toggle ambient noise	`N`
Open the command palette	`Ctrl/Cmd + K`
Open the AI chat panel	`Ctrl/Cmd + J`

The panel switcher also responds to single letters - C, T, B, H, A, S - and the Left/Right arrows cycle panels. Press ? for the command palette’s help view.

Grammar shortcuts (fixed)

When the inline grammar checker is on, these work inside editable fields on any page:

Autocomplete

When AI autocomplete is enabled, press Tab to accept the grey ghost-text suggestion in a text field. See Grammar check & autocomplete.
