Eye-break reminders (20-20-20)
Vision breaks nudge you to rest your eyes regularly, following the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Turn them on in Settings → Wellness → Vision breaks (or Eye Breaks).
How a break plays out
- A warning toast appears a few seconds before the break (default 10s) with Start Break, Skip (while you still have snoozes), and snooze buttons +1m / +5m / +15m.
- At break time a full-screen overlay shows a countdown and a rotating wellness prompt (“Eyes to the horizon”, “Roll your shoulders”, “Take a deep breath”…). You can mute the voice, extend the break, or skip if snoozes remain.
Any playing page video or audio is paused during a break and resumes afterward (live calls are never touched).
Settings
- Interval - how often breaks happen (default every 20 minutes).
- Duration - how long each break lasts (default 20 seconds).
- Warning - the countdown before it starts.
- Snoozes - how many skips/snoozes you get (default 3).
- Sound - an alert chime (choose one of five, or none) plus optional spoken guidance.
- Auto-start - begin the break without pressing Start.
The snooze budget
Snoozes work like a budget: skipping or snoozing spends one, and actually taking a break refills it. Skip too many in a row and InTab points it out - and may suggest a longer interval that you’ll actually keep. If a break is locked (no snoozes left), you can still force-exit in an emergency by pressing Esc twice.
Free vs. Pro
Break Reminders are free for everyone, including the 20-20-20 preset, Pomodoro, and custom intervals. Prayer times are a related wellbeing feature - see Prayer times.
