Auto-suspend inactive tabs

The Tab Suspender puts tabs you’re not using to sleep so they stop eating memory and battery, then wakes them the moment you return. Turn it on in Settings → Tab Suspender.

How it works

• Sleep after a period of inactivity - minutes, hours, days, or weeks (default 30 minutes).
• Mode:
  • Park - replaces the tab with a lightweight placeholder page.
  • Discard - uses the browser’s own tabs.discard, keeping the tab strip entry.
• Tabs auto-restore as soon as you click back to them.

Never suspend these

InTab won’t put a tab to sleep when a rule you enable applies. Toggle protection for tabs that are: pinned, playing audio, downloading, holding an unsaved form, active, fullscreen, offline, on battery/charging, or incognito.

You can also keep a protected sites allow-list using domain or glob patterns - handy for dashboards, chat apps, or anything you always want live.
