Install InTab & pin it

InTab installs like any other Chrome extension and takes under a minute to set up. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, and other Chromium browsers (Chrome 120 or newer).

Add the extension

Open the InTab listing on the Chrome Web Store.
Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension to confirm.
Your next new tab will open the InTab welcome screen.

InTab replaces your new tab page. If you’d rather keep a blank new tab, you can turn the takeover off later in Settings → Workspace → Show InTab on every new tab; InTab is then only a click away from the toolbar icon.

Pinning keeps InTab one click away - the icon opens the popup with page tools (screenshots, quick actions, and the website editor on Pro/Legacy).

Click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser toolbar.
Find InTab and click the pin.

Finish the one-time setup

The first run walks you through a short welcome flow (theme, language, a few feature toggles) and asks you to sign in with Google.

InTab keeps most features locked until you complete the welcome flow and sign in. This is by design: sign-in is what protects your settings backup and keeps your account safe. A free account is enough - you don’t need a paid plan to use it.

Optional permissions

The Bookmarks and History panels ask for their own browser permission the first time you open them. Until you grant it, those panels stay empty - your bookmarks and history are never read without your click. You can decline and still use everything else.

Update or reinstall

Chrome updates InTab automatically. If something looks broken after an update, open a page, use Settings → General → Diagnostics → Copy logs, and send them to help@intab.io.
