What syncs across devices
InTab has two separate sync systems. Knowing which is which explains why some things follow you across devices on a free account and others need Pro.
Settings sync - every signed-in user
As soon as you sign in - on any plan - your settings are backed up and synced across devices. This covers:
- your theme and favorite languages,
- per-site rules for the writer,
- YouTube preferences,
- vision-break and prayer settings.
It’s last-write-wins, so the most recent change on any device is kept. Signed out, nothing syncs (this is part of why sign-in is required).
Full cloud sync - Pro & Max
Pro adds full cloud sync of your data, so your workspace itself moves between devices:
- saved tab sessions,
- AI chat history,
- bookmarks metadata and browsing/time analytics,
- suspender, screensaver, and screenshot settings,
- website-editor sites and saved CSS/JS/HTML,
- search, mirror, and speed preferences.
On free and legacy plans this data stays on the device it was created on.
Highlights & chats
Text highlights sync through their own service when signed in. Chat history cloud sync specifically is a Pro/Max feature; on free plans, chats stay local (older image attachments are trimmed to save space).
Turning it off
You can toggle cloud sync of saved tabs in Settings → Workspace. See Free, Pro, Max & Lifetime to compare tiers.
